About Legacy Academy
Who is Legacy Academy?
Legacy Academy was and still is the answer Legacy founders, Frank and Melissa Turner, were looking for when they wondered how they could educate their two young children, provide for their future, and serve their community. Melissa has successfully overseen the development and opening of every Legacy Academy for Children® early care and education center throughout several states.
What is Legacy Academy?
Legacy Academy for Children® is at its foundation an early care and education program for children 6 weeks to age 12. With the choice of the name, Legacy Academy for Children®, we have laid the groundwork for the mission and philosophy of our organization. Your children are your legacy, hence our motto “the perfect beginning for your legacy®.”
At Legacy Academy our mission is to serve our children, families, staff, and communities in a manner that positively impacts their lives.
Framework For Their Future® The Legacy Academy Curriculum
Framework For Their Future® is based on the premise that children acquire more knowledge by actively exploring materials and enrichments put in place by teachers who facilate their learning. Manipulatives, puzzles, games, and art materials stimulate “hands-on” and concrete learning experiences. Shapes, colors, numbers, letters, and phonemic awareness are woven into activities throughout each day to give children a strong readiness foundation.
Character Building
A Character Building focus rounds out each monthly curriculum plan. Our children are never too young to learn about honesty, patience, and friendship.
Brain Power
Brain Power activities are also incorporated within the daily routine to help all children, especially infants, make those brain-building connections.
Challenging Activities
Challenge and Activities that strengthen are designed to individualize our program so that all our children can grow and develop at their own unique learning paces.
Our Teachers
Using a wonderful blend of experience, enthusiasm, knowledge, training and skill, Legacy teachers create the perfect nurturing and safe environment for infants and young children.
Partnership with Parents
At Legacy Academy, we know that it takes families, teachers, and our management teams working together to provide quality care and education for the little legacies who come through our front door.
